Saica Pack UK and Saica Flex UK win Gold Awards at The EFIA 2020 Print Awards

Last Thursday 17th September, Saica Flex Deeside, Saica Flex Buxton and Saica Pack Thatcham took home Gold EFIA Awards for their outstanding printing designs in flexible and corrugated packaging.

The awards were granted at the EFIA Gala Dinner, an annual event that promotes the advancement of the Flexographic industry. In this ceremony, that took place virtually due to Covid, the judges highlighted the unanimity about the winners, despite the excellent work presented by the contestants.

This panel of experts, comprised of industry representatives such as printers, suppliers, brand owners and retailers evaluated the different candidates’ proposals and decided to recognise Saica’s technical expertise by granting Saica Flex Deeside the Gold Award in the Surface Print Narrow category and Saica Flex Buxton the Gold Award for Flexo Print on Film. The judges complemented the strong vibrant colours and the great print and technical characteristics used in the flexible packaging presented. Saica Pack Thatcham, part of the Saica Pack South West Region, was also granted with a Gold Award on Folder Gluer- Coated category for its perfect printing execution. This print was produced on one of their state-of-the art machines: the Bobst 924NT Folder Flexo Gluer at Saica Pack Thatcham.

Additionally, Saica Flex Buxton and Saica Pack Milngavie were further recognised for its remarkable contributions to the Flexographic industry with a Silver Award on Film Surface Print Medium, a Bronze Award on Best in Show (an award selected from all Gold winners in the print categories) and a Highly commended Award on Folder Gluer Uncoated.

These recognitions celebrate Saica’s proactive and committed approach to push printing boundaries to a new level and achieve the highest standards in their flexible and corrugated packaging.
