Saica Pack Hosts Ireland Customer Event At The Johnstown Estate, County Meath
County Meath (Ireland), 17 Oct 2025
This week the twentieth annual Saica Pack Ireland Customer Event 2025 took place at The Johnstown Estate in County Meath, Ireland, with many Saica Pack customers attending from Irish businesses.
After several consecutive years at the Grand Hotel in Malahide, this was the first year hosting at this elegant venue to mark the 20th anniversary of the annual event. Guests enjoyed an afternoon packed full of insight for their brands around packaging, paper and cardboard manufacturing options and capabilities as well as learning about the latest developments at Saica Pack.
The event took place over two days, with the educational presentations at The Johnstown Estate Hotel on the first day and the second day spent witnessing production at Saica Pack Ashbourne with a guided factory tour to see how customer products are made. This highlights Saica Pack’s commitment to the customer experience showcasing innovation and sustainability throughout its production processes.
Attendees had the chance to learn about the entire paper-making process and the manufacturing of corrugated board and packaging. Customers were taken on a journey of how Saica produces their paper and corrugated products – from fibre to box, explaining about all the various paper types, flutes, characteristics and printing options. They could also undertake insightful, interactive training around the customer experience and listen to relevant topics to their industry, such as retail insight and recyclability.
To demonstrate Saica Pack’s capabilities, customers had the opportunity to take part in a game inspired by national champion Rory McIroy to try to chip golf balls into a washing machine. All the props were designed by the Saica Pack team, drawing upon the old UTV show footage where eight year-old Rory McIlroy chipped golf balls into a washing machine.
Steven Cassidy, Regional Sales Director Ireland commented, “It is a great opportunity for our customers to learn more about the capabilities of Saica Pack and have the chance to see corrugated and paper products in production. They could also learn about our core values and relevant developments and options for their brand. We really enjoyed hosting everyone who attended and hope that it was insightful for the attendees.”
Not only does the event bring to life the whole process, but it offers an excellent opportunity for discussion about paper making, the retail industry as well as what the future holds for paper and corrugated cardboard manufacturing.
