Saica Group supports Friends of Cross Lane
Manchester, 15 Jul 2024
Saica Paper, a division of Saica Group, supported the community event organised by the Friends of Cross Lane Park. The event was a delightful Tea Dance for local elderly residents at the community centre, to encourage them, many of whom may be widowed or living alone, to get out of their homes, meet new friends, and remain active within the community.
This Tea Dance event was specifically designed for the elderly residents of the village, aiming to bring together around 60 people for an afternoon of socialising, English afternoon tea, and entertainment.
Saica Group values the impact of their work, not only in maintaining green spaces but also in fostering a sense of community.
By supporting this event, Saica Group demonstrates its dedication to fostering strong community ties and enhancing the lives of Partington's elderly residents. Saica Group offered £150 towards the food for the event, contributing to the overall experience of the attendants.
The mission of Friends of Cross Lane Park is to keep the park safe and clean for children, promoting outdoor exercise and active play. Their dedication to the park and its surrounding community is evident through their regular litter-picking efforts and engagement with local authorities.
