Saica Group presents its most innovative sustainable packaging solutions at MacFrut 2023

For the first time, Saica is participating as an exhibitor at MacFrut, the leading trade fair for international fruit and vegetable professionals. The event is held in Rimini (Italy) from 3 to 5 May. 

MacFrut is the most important Italian exhibition for the fruit and vegetable market and last year attracted more than 38,000 visitors. At the exhibition, Saica is showcasing its innovative sustainable packaging solutions in corrugated cardboard and flexible packaging, focusing on fresh food preservation and packaging circularity.

Sustainable corrugated cardboard solutions

Saica Group's corrugated cardboard division is demonstrating Saica Tray, an innovative sustainable packaging solution, particularly suitable for fruit and vegetable packaging. This packaging offers mechanical strength, is available in up to 6 colours and significantly reduces the weight of the pack, which means a reduced environmental impact.

In addition to sustainable packaging solutions, Saica Pack is exhibiting its B2B platform, in Web and App format, which enables customers to access information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

With this efficient and easy-to-use tool, customers can access all information at any time of the day and from anywhere. The platform allows them to create orders, view references, monitor deliveries and stocks or download invoices and delivery notes, among many other functionalities.

Innovative solutions for flexible packaging

Saica's flexible packaging division, Saica Flex, will also be showcasing its innovative grouping bands. This grouping band, made of 100 per cent strong and durable plastic-free paper allows food products to be grouped together, thus combating food waste on the shelf and reducing plastic usage.

Located in Hall B3-Stand 33 at the Rimini Trade Fair, the Saica Group is represented by several of its plants and welcomes visitors to MacFrut during the 3-day exhibition to present its customised and sustainable offer.
