Saica acquires the Centroplast Group

The Centroplast Group, which manufactures flexible packaging, employs 235 people and had a turnover of around 67 million euros in 2015.

The incorporation of this Group allows Saica to continue growing in the flexible packaging sector.

The Spanish multinational company Saica has acquired the Centroplast Group, a major producer of flexible packaging. With this operation, Saica goes a step further in its diversification and growth strategy. The Centroplast Group, located in Italy and Luxemburg, employs 235 people and had a turnover of around 67 million Euros in 2015.

Saica’s acquisition of Centroplast allows it to continue to develop in the flexible packaging sector with the aim of offering a wider range of products and services to its customers. Ramon Alejandro, Saica President said: “This acquisition allows us to enter more strongly in the market of flexible packaging market hand-in-hand with a leading player. We carry out this investment with views to the long-term and potential development of this sector”

The acquisition was carried out with the financial intermediation of Sabadell Corporate Finance and SCOUTING SPA; and legal advice in the operation was provided by Pavia e Ansaldo.
