Packaging for the Home Delivery of Carrefour Fruits
Zaragoza, Spain, 21 Dec 2017
Saica Pack has taken a step further in its environmental policy, together with Carrefour’s sustainability department, thanks to the development of a new packaging for the home delivery of fruits and vegetables. Within its policy for environmental improvement and its commitment to recyclable packaging, Carrefour has substituted plastic bags and blister packs for corrugated cardboard packaging. The new boxes maintain the integrity of the product by incorporating an interior treatment for food contact.
The packaging is quick and easy to assemble, it allows for the product to be constantly ventilated, it protects it from bumps and falls during handling and it maintains the image of the distributor’s brand thanks to the die-cut design of its logo on the different sides. The consumer can recycle it in the blue recycling containers, or they can use it alternatively in their homes.
