HM Trade Commissioner for Europe visits Saica at Greater Manchester plant

Andrew Mitchell, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Europe, has visited Saica’s Greater Manchester mill located in Carrington to see the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on 6 March.
Pedro Gascón, Managing Director of Saica Group received HMTC for Europe together with David Hilton, Head of Business Development at Manchester´s Investment Development Agency Service (MIDAS) and Karen Davies, Account Manager at MIDAS.
HM Trade Commissioner for Europe also visited the power plant and learned in detail about the complete paper mill operation and strategic lay-out.
In 2006, Saica group entered the UK market and since then the group has made 620 million euro investment (about 530 million pounds) in the country. Currently, Saica is the third player in the UK and Ireland in the development and production of recycled paper for corrugated cardboard and in the production of corrugated cardboard.
